Dana White was surprised by Francis Ngannou‘s stellar performance against Tyson Fury in their recent boxing match. The two heavyweight stars engaged in a highly anticipated crossover boxing match in Saudi Arabia. Francis Ngannou walked into the fight as the clear underdog. However, the former UFC champion impressed everyone by going the full 10 rounds with the WBC heavyweight champion. Ngannou even managed to secure the only knockdown in the entire fight. Ngannku knocked down Tyson Fury in the third round, a feat that shocked everybody who underestimated him.

UFC CEO Dana White recently spoke on Donald Trump Jr.’s Triggered podcast. There he was asked whether Ngannou’s boxing success would have any negative impact on the UFC. He replied:

I don’t care…everybody is going to move on. Everybody has to do what’s right for them and make money…. whatever they’ve got to do, they’ve got to do.

White was not happy that Ngannou left the UFC. However, he did compliment Francis Ngannou’s unexpected performance in his debut boxing match against the world heavyweight champion. He said he did not watch the fight but going ten rounds with Tyson Fury was simply incredible.

Especially Dana white considering their stressed relationship ever since Francis Ngannou left the UFC.

Francis Ngannou recently spoke with Ariel Helwani on “The MMA Hour”. There he remarked that whatever Dana White thought about the fight was irrelevant although he was a tad bit curious. He said:

Who cares? Dana White feels like Dana White feels. I feel like I feel…I think you have to send him an invite so you can ask him. I would like to know, too.

Francis Ngannou left the UFC and joined the PFL, a move that surprised many in the MMA world. This strategic partnership between Ngannou and the PFL has positioned him as the chairman of PFL.
