Daniel Dubois is a professional heavyweight with 20 fights under his belt. On the other hand, Oleksandr Usyk only has four fights under his belt in the heavyweight division. Usyk is the smaller fighter, weighing 12.3 pounds lighter than Dubois. The British heavyweight also has a height advantage over Usyk.

In an interview with Pro Boxing Fans, Dubois stated that Usyk has the speed advantage with his efficient footwork. However, regardless of Usyk’s movement and southpaw stance, Dubois will look forward to overwhelming the heavyweight champion. Dubois said, “I just got to land on his little head. Keep landing on his little head, bang him up. He’s a cruiserweight. It’s not complicated for me”. Dubois emphasized that he has boxed his entire life and considered himself to be in his prime at 25 years old.

Furthermore, Dubois predicted that he would dish out more damage and have better endurance compared to Oleksandr Usyk. A widely discussed aspect remains the importance of Dubois’ strength and size in the buildup to this bout. However, on the night of the bout, the fighters will have a weight difference of only 12.3 pounds.

Though the underdog believes he has a great chance of winning, most fans predicted a victorious outcome for Usyk. The Ukranian champion has more boxing experience and better technical ability. Furthermore, while Dubois seemed focused before the match, Usyk remained relaxed and confident. Boxing fans remains excited on witnessing another masterclass heavyweight matchup.

Anthony Joshua predicts Daniel Dubois vs. Oleksandr Usyk

Usyk will be fighting for the first time since he defeated Anthony Joshua in their much-anticipated rematch last year. Usyk defended the WBO, WBA, and IBF titles that he took from Joshua in 2021. Usyk showcased his superior boxing to once again defeat Joshua.

In an interview with Sky Sports, Joshua made predictions for the match between Dubois and Usyk. Joshua pointed out the strengths of Usyk during the interview. However, he did not think that Dubois could defeat Usyk. Joshua cited the inexperience factor of Dubois that could him back. Furthermore, he stated that Usyk doesn’t rely on power but rather technical skill, which Dubois needs to be wary of.

Joshua claimed that Dubois could not win even with the perfect strategy. However, he was rooting for Dubois to bring the heavyweight titles back to his country of England.
