Francis Ngannou and Tyson Fury could compete in an exhibition boxing bout before the end of the year. The former UFC champion signed with PFL this year and will make his debut next year. He has started to focus on his upcoming boxing bout intensely. The training footage has gone viral on social media, and fans appear to be watching further updates closely.
The knockout power of Francis Ngannou will always make him a legitimate threat in the boxing world. However, he will need to make up for the technical aspects of boxing. The gas tank remains a concern for the former UFC heavyweight champion. Ariel Helwani reported that a boxing bout between Fury and Ngannou could get announced soon. The upcoming boxing bout will mark Ngannou’s entry into the boxing world.
Tyson Fury has remained without an opponent since Dereck Chisora at the end of last year. Fury and Oleksandr Usyk started contract negotiations in early 2023. However, the bout faced delay due to contract demands of both parties. It led to Usyk backing out of the bout, and to this day, Fury remains without an opponent. In the meantime, Fury and Ngannou continued to call each other out for a potential boxing bout.
The bout could finally materialize, according to Ariel Helwani. Ngannou is not likely to get a title shot. The boxing world would go crazy if Ngannou got a title shot instead of other boxing contenders. Hence, an exhibition bout between the duo makes sense. Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn stated that the bout could happen with some special rules involved. However, more updates on the bout remain undisclosed. However, Ngannou has started to work on his boxing.
Francis Ngannou pays tribute to former opponent Stipe Miocic

Stipe Miocic is considered to be the greatest heavyweight fighter in the UFC. He holds the record for the most consecutive title defenses in the UFC. Despite the records, Francis Ngannou felt people did not credit Stipe enough for his deeds.
Francis Ngannou said, “It’s gonna be tough for Jones. I think we all don’t give the credit that is due to Stipe. Stipe is not having enough credit. For me, he’s still the guy at heavyweight. He’s still the most challenging guy in the heavyweight division.” (H/T TMZ Sportz)
Stipe and Ngannou fought in 2018 and 2021. Stipe won the first fight, whereas Ngannou knocked out Miocic in the second fight. They both contested for the UFC heavyweight title. Now Stipe will fight Jon Jones, and Ngannou will compete in a boxing match soon.
