The light heavyweight champion of the world, Devin Haney, fights at a weight of 130 to 135 pounds. However, Haney will now move up to a super lightweight division of 140 pounds to compete for the two-division championship. ‘The Dream’ will be fighting against Regis Prograis on December 9 at the Chase Center in San Francisco. Recently, Haney shared his boxing tier list with DAZN, where he compared several boxers like Jake Paul, Ryan Garcia, and Shakur Stevenson.
Subsequently, the tier list was divided into five different tiers, which were: retire, poor, good, all-time great, and GOAT. In the video, Haney spoke about Luke Campbell and stated that he should retire if he already hasn’t. After which Haney stated Garcia fits in the ‘good tier’ because of his speed and skills. Similarly, Devin Haney kept Stevenson also in the ‘good tier’ because of his accomplishments in his career. However, while ranking Paul, Haney stated:
I think Jake Paul is okay, he is a real boxer. But I think he is GOAT when it comes to influencer boxing.Devin Haney via DAZN Boxing
Hence, Haney acknowledged Paul as a real boxer and added him to the ‘GOAT tier’ because of his accomplishments in influencer boxing. This was surprising since Haney placed Paul two tiers above his professional boxing rivals, Garcia and Stevenson.
Furthermore, Haney stated that Gervonta Davis fits in the “all-time great tier’. While speaking about heavyweights, Haney kept Anthony Joshua in the ‘good tier’ while adding Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk to the ‘GOAT tier’.
Ryan Garcia shares his boxing tier list
Garcia also revealed his boxing tier list by comparing several active boxers, and some of the selections were quite surprising. The tier list consisted of five categories: retire, poor, good, all-time great, and GOAT. Subsequently, Garcia ranked Haney in the good tier, and Garcia kept Haney’s next opponent, Prograis, in the same tier.
Furthermore, Garcia stated that Haney currently fits in the ‘good tier’ but has the potential to be in the ‘all-time great tier’. Then Garcia ranked Paul in the ‘good tier’ alongside Haney and Progais, even though Paul lost to Tommy Fury. However, Garcia surprised himself by placing himself in the ‘good tier’ and stated that he would reach the ‘all-time great tier’ someday.
In addition, Garcia placed Manny Pacquaio in the ‘goat tier’ because he is an eight-division world champion. After which, he placed Tyson Fury, Canelo Alvarez, Amanda Serrano, and Katie Taylor in the ‘all-time great tier’. Lastly, Garcia placed KSI in the ‘retire tier, and this is evident because of their beef.
