Paulie Malignaggi, a former professional boxer, recently came clean about his thoughts on Jake Paul vs Conor McGregor‘s hypothetical match. He thinks Jake Paul would win by knocking out Conor McGregor in a boxing match. Jake Paul is scheduled to fight Nate Diaz on August 5th but also wants to fight McGregor later on.
McGregor doesn’t want to fight Jake Paul, but he has been taunting him. In a recent interview, McGregor called Jake Paul a “donkey.” Malignaggi, speaking on Betway‘s platform, said he believes Jake Paul would knock out Conor.
Paulie also added, “I think Conor has decent sharp shots but I don’t think Conor has the discipline to stay with those little sharp shots for a certain amount of rounds. I think he would fall apart because he doesn’t have a lot of heart. Conor has no balls. If you take Conor a few rounds he already has this very big discomfort and mistakes naturally create themselves. You don’t even have to create them anymore.”
According to Paulie Malignaggi, the Irishman is someone who performs well early in fights but struggles in longer matches due to a lack of character and determination. Malignaggi thinks Jake Paul would put pressure on McGregor, take advantage of his defensive weaknesses, and eventually knock him out. Malignaggi believes Jake’s size gives him a significant advantage. Therefore, according to Paulie, it is crucial for Conor to knock out Jake within the first two rounds, or else Jake will win the fight.

Paulie knows Conor McGregor’s boxing skills better than anyone
In 2017, McGregor extended an invitation to Malignaggi, a former world champion boxer, to join his team and aid in his preparation for his boxing debut and highly anticipated showdown against Floyd Mayweather Jr. Malignaggi, a skilled contender with a remarkable professional record of 36-8, brought his elusive style to the table, making him an ideal sparring partner for the confident McGregor, who was set to face the formidable “Mr. Money”.
However, their time together in the McGregor camp was short-lived due to a heated sparring session. During the session, McGregor knocked down the Brooklyn-born boxer, capturing the incident on video. Conor even shared the video on social media. Malignaggi, often referred to as the ‘Magic Man,’ consistently denied being knocked down and accused McGregor of manipulating the video. In response to the incident, Malignaggi made a dramatic exit from the camp.
While the incident took place a few years ago, Conor McGregor and Malignaggi both have trash-talking sessions frequently. Now McGregor is again hinting to fight Floyd Mayweather in a rematch.
