Fresh off his victory against UFC legend Nate Diaz in the boxing ring, Jake Paul wasted no time in setting his sights on future fights. An online X feud ignited between Jake and KSI, adding more fuel to the fire. Interestingly, Elon Musk‘s Community Notes stepped in to address some of the accusations made by Jake, though Paul’s fans reacted in a contrasting manner.
Earlier, Tommy Fury and Paul had faced off, with Fury securing a split decision win. In a post-fight interview, Fury expressed his willingness for a rematch, acknowledging their closely fought bout. However, although Paul had a rematch clause with Fury, he chose to take on Nate Diaz in his next fight. In the meantime, Fury agreed to a forthcoming match against KSI, set for October in Manchester, England.
When KSI announced the upcoming match, he cleverly slipped in a subtle jab at Paul. In response, Paul fired back, emphasizing his dedication to the sport and taking a swipe at KSI for focusing on his ego. The tension heightened as KSI hinted that Paul might be anxious about how a Tommy Fury win could impact his image and reputation in the boxing world.
KSI asserted that a rematch between Jake Paul and Tommy Fury would only be considered after he had defeated Tommy himself. Responding with his signature bravado, Jake Paul rebuffed KSI’s proposal and said, “Nagh bi*ch. You need to beat Gib in a professional bout before you even think of professional boxing.You and Timmy is an exhibition so the outcome is irrelevant”.
X’s community notes tactfully stepped in to address Jake’s claim. They politely clarified that PBA (Professional Boxing Association) fights followed professional rules, even though they weren’t acknowledged on Boxrec because of the UK’s British Boxing Board of Control’s dominant presence in the market. They emphasized the crucial point that the upcoming fight would follow the same ruleset as Jake Paul’s previous bout against Tommy Fury.
