Jake Paul stole the headlines of all big sports houses when he defeated Anderson Silva, the MMA legend. Although he did not quite do it in emphatic fashion – he still ended the night on a favourable note.
At big events such as the one that took place night, someone or the other has a nasty run-in with someone else, leading to a big kerfuffle. Just a week prior, Khamzat Chimaevhad a brawl with a teammate of Islam Makhachev’s broken up by security. This time around, it was another MMA icon involved, despite it being at a boxing event.
A video has emerged of Nate Diaz, having recently left the UFC, slapping a team member of Jake Paul’s team. The issue at hand cannot be discerned from the extremely short video. However, the act of violence has been caught on tape all too well. After being hit, the Paul team member can be seen retreating, before Nate Diaz and his team turn their backs and walk off, albeit, in a heated manner.
Nate Diaz is considered by many to be the “realest” in the game – what that essentially means is the fact that Diaz, a bonafide fighter, doesn’t mince his words, and talks about what he really feels about things. This has gone both ways for him – he has been idolized for his most catchy one-liners, and also, condemned for his actions.
Fans do not react too kindly to Nate Diaz’s growing counts of disorderly conduct
In 2021, at another Jake Paul fight that Diaz was attending, the former UFC star could be seen throwing a pretend punch at a bystander, making him flinch and spill his drink. Similarly, at UFC 279, Nate Diaz himself, and his team got themselves involved in an almighty scuffle with Khamzat Chimaev’s team, leading to the cancellation of the press conference. He also used the “Stockton Slap” on a reporter earlier.
Seeing this new video on the internet, fans haven’t reacted too favourably to Nate Diaz’s actions. Some of the best tweets, in response, are attached below.
Clearly, fans weren’t incredibly impressed by the latest of Nate Diaz’s misconducts. However, MMA fans love the American nonetheless and will keep loving him, despite his growing list of questionable actions.
