There is a light at the end of every man’s tunnel, and it either takes him to the top of the mountain or the bottom of the abyss. In Floyd Mayweather‘s case, it was the thirst to be great and the inner fire that drove him to overcome the obstacles that tormented him as a kid. Furthermore, Mayweather grew up in a rough neighborhood, so he didn’t want to do anything that could land him in prison.

More importantly, he knew that to achieve success, he needed to take a different path than his father did, and once he started boxing, he never looked back. Furthermore, during a recent interview with ‘The Pivot’, Mayweather spoke about the hardships of his childhood. Subsequently, Floyd Mayweather revealed that his father would sell drugs to provide for his family. As such, Mayweather stated on the Pivot Podcast:

I learned from my dad's mistakes. I didn’t want to hustle drugs; all I wanted to do was become a champion someday and have something when my career was over.
