Floyd Mayweather is revered as one of the best pound-for-pound champions to emerge in the sport of boxing. Furthermore, Mayweather has achieved a lot of success inside and outside of the ring because of his hard work, dedication, and boxing skills. In an interview with ESPN, Dan Le Batard once asked several questions to Mayweather before his fight with Victor Ortiz.

Furthermore, Batard asked Floyd Mayweather what the maximum amount of cash he had carried around in a backpack was. Subsequently, Mayweather responded that he had about $2 to $2.5 million in a backpack once. As such, the reporter was astonished and asked Mayweather what his reason was for carrying so much cash in hand. Mayweather swiftly responded by stating, “You just asked me how much I held, now you wanna question me? What are you the police? Slow down, slow down.”

Batard responded by stating that he would love to know the reason since it must have an interesting story behind it. Subsequently, Mayweather casually stated that some people keep their money in the bank, but he keeps it in his backpack. However, Mayweather proceeded to explain that he bets on a sportsbook and once won $2.5 million and cashed it in.

In addition, Batard asked Mayweather what the maximum amount of money he had lost in a sports bet. Mayweather responded by saying he once lost $800,000 to $1 million on a bet in a nonchalant manner because of how unaffected his massive fortune because of the loss.

Floyd Mayweather is not actually undefeated

Furthermore, the losses that Mayweather suffered during his amateur career affected and taught him a lot.
