Francis Ngannou‘s coach remains confident in his MMA return despite a blockbuster clash with Tyson Fury. Erick Nicksick helped Ngannou with his MMA game planning and coaching. Nicksick spoke to Damon Martin of MMA Fighting and discussed in-depth the ramifications of the Tyson Fury vs. Francis Ngannou fight.

Francis Ngannou’s new multi-fight deal with the Professional Fighters League is lucrative. Moreover, his upcoming boxing match against Tyson Fury on October 28 offers a massive payday. When Martin asked about Ngannou’s MMA career if he defeats Tyson Fury, Nicksick replied, “I guess we’ll cross that bridge when it comes, he can lose to Tyson Fury and never have to fight again. Who knows.”Nicksick further elaborated that Ngannou has more to accomplish in MMA. Nicksick has first-hand knowledge of Ngannou’s evolving skill set, even in his late 30s.

Ngannou’s power alone can secure victory with a single punch. A win could open doors for rematches or bouts against top heavyweights like Deontay Wilder, Anthony Joshua, Oleksandr Usyk, and Andy Ruiz Jr. The chances of Ngannou upsetting Fury are meager. Fury has dealt with power, as evidenced by his fights with Deontay Wilder.

Jon Jones is fighting Stipe Miocic in November at MSG. Ngannou not being with the UFC has crushed any hopes of matchup between Francis Ngannou and Jon Jones. The matchup will create enough buzz to make it the main pay-per-view event in International Fight Week, but it has a slim chance of happening as Jones would most likely retire after UFC 295.

Francis Ngannou is a saint when not fighting according to Sean Strickland

Sean Strickland is one of the most controversial fighters on the UFC roster. Strickland is known for putting out remarks that offend people. Like Francis Ngannou, Sean Strickland trains at Extreme Couture under the tutelage of Erick Nicksick.

During his recent appearance in JRE, Strickland talked about sparring with Francis Ngannou. Strickland said that heavyweights are easier to hit and even easier not to get hit. But there is a caveat: taking anyone out only takes one punch from a heavyweight. Strickland admits to getting hit by Ngannou in a truck hitting. The middleweight title challenger is known to spar with fighters irrespective of their weight class.

Sean Strickland is scheduled to fight Israel Adesanya at UFC 293 in Sydney, Australia. The fight is much anticipated, mainly due to the trash talk that Strickland does. The champion and the contender famously locked horns at UFC 276.
