“I miss boxing” – Holly Holm admits that she miss boxing and stated that she will be a champion upon her return

Holly Holm, a former UFC bantamweight champion, multiple-time world boxing champion, and member of the Boxing Hall of Fame, concurred that she misses boxing and that if she returns, she can win the title once more.

In an interview with FightHype.com, she said, “I miss boxing, it’s always going to be a part of my heart and so you never know. You know maybe I’ll go back and a lot of these people are going also, a lot of fighters are trying to go back and forth and nobody’s doing it successfully.”

She went on, “Not a lot of people can do it successfully but I can. I know I can, I know I can go back to boxing and still be a champion.” She sounded ecstatic about being a boxing champion again.

When asked when she wants to stop fighting, she said, “I don’t know. I still feel healthy, I still feel good. The only things that would ever get me to stop fighting, I’ve said this many times, my eyes, my brain, my spine. Other than that I don’t even care.” Will Holly Holm ever step back into the boxing ring? If she does, she will undoubtedly receive a standing ovation from the audience.

Holly Holm’s started her boxing journey at the age of 17. She fought her first ever boxing fight when she turned 18. Since then the Hall of Famer hasn’t looked back.

With an impressive amateur record of 6-0-2, she made her professional boxing debut in 2002. She has since won the WBF Female World Light Welterweight and World Welterweight titles, as well as being named Female Fighter of the Year and Female Fight of the Year in 2012. With a boxing record of 33-2-3, she has captured the world championship 18-times across three weight classes.

She retired from boxing in 2013 and got signed by the UFC in 2014 where she dethroned Ronda Rousey for the UFC Bantamweight Championship. She got inducted into the New Mexico Boxing Hall of Fame in June 2013.
