Influencer-boxer Jake Paul, head of Most Valuable Promotions and “betr” game-betting global portal has a very unilateral rivalry with Conor McGregor. “The Notorious” McGregor, a former two-division champion, is a name that reverberates with the idea of MMA. He had received subsequent callouts from Paul, even in the latters’ earliest days in pro-boxing. But now, even with crossover fights being all the rage, McGregor has not yet responded.
In a recent interview with DAZN boxing, Jake “Problem Child” Paul called out the Irishman yet again. This was during DAZN’s “Finish the sentence” segment that delved into prospective opponents like McGregor and YouTuber KSI, also a rival of Paul. He said:
McGregor would be pretty freaking massive and entertaining and fun. I would beat his a**. He won't fight me. At this point it's funny how it went from me calling him out and that seeming crazy to now me being bigger in the sport than he is.Jake Paul via DAZN
McGregor has not fought since 2021 after breaking his fibula and tibia in the last of his trilogy fights with Dustin Poirier. Since then he has undergone titanium insertion and recovered fully. Meanwhile, Paul will be facing 10-1 pro-boxer Andre August on Dec. 15.
Paul, at 7-1-0 recently announced the match not being a PPV event; which is conversely set to downgrade the output. However, he has been lauded for already hyping up prospects and baiting in McGregor yet again. A move that the Irishman himself has done many times.
Jake Paul blames KSI for ducking him
Jake Paul takes on Andre August this Friday, who is little known pro boxer. Paul chose a legit boxer to prove himself by taking on someone with prolonged experience in the ring. He hopes that this, in turn, will help him become a better boxer, and carve his path to a title fight in the future.
To that end, the boxer recently called out both rivals Conor McGregor and KSI. KSI has been a foe since he entered the sporting spectrum. The influencer did mend fences with his brother Logan Paul. They even later became business partners, starting the Prime energy drink brand.
I will fight KSI when he stops ducking me and wants to stop making excuses.Jake Paul via DAZN
Similarly, in the same segment, Paul also called out McGregor. He mentioned that the Irishman is unwilling to box him accounting for the fact that he has progressed as a boxer and is a bigger name.
