“Not going to sulk,” Jake Paul aims to use “hurt as fuel” for his future after Tommy Fury loss

The much-awaited boxing match between Jake Paul and Tommy Fury finally took place last weekend and It was a major hit. Fury showed why he’s a professional fighter and stopped Paul’s undefeated boxing run. After eight rounds of continuous action, Fury was announced the winner via split decision. 

It was Paul’s first taste of defeat, however, the 26 years took it on his chin without complaining. In a recent tweet, Paul revealed that the fight did a great business but he seemed definitely affected by the result of the fight. The ‘Problem Child’ then mentioned that he was going to use this loss as fuel and will come back stronger.

He wrote: “The business of the event was a massive success. That doesn’t mean I’m not emotionally hurt by the loss. But I am not going to sit here and sulk. I am going to use that hurt to fuel my path forward to never feel this way again.”

Despite his loss, Paul proved that he has worked extremely hard on his skills in the last few years. To be able to go eight rounds toe to toe with a professional boxer is still a great feat.

Eddie Hearn and Jake Paul have been indulging in various arguments regarding boxing for a year now. In their last interview together, Hearn mentioned that Paul is not a real fighter and will never be able to win a championship belt. 

After this fight, Hearn still hasn’t changed his opinions but has gained a certain amount of respect for Paul. In a recent interview, Hearn explained that both Fury and Paul were at the same level and were able to put on a good show for the fans.

“I do respect Jake Paul and I respect him even more after last night. I mean look, he can’t fight, he’s never gonna be a world champion… What you had was two not-very-good fighters who were quite evenly matched,” said Hearn

Jake Paul fans are expecting him to bounce back from this loss with a new challenge very soon. On the other hand, Fury has already on his way to fixing his next fight and calling out opponents such as KSI.
