Jake Paul tried to mock Dana White and the UFC for the supposedly “Low Ticket Sales” for the upcoming UFC 279 event. For those that do not know the event will feature a main event between Nate Diaz and Khamzat Chimaev.

This bout is scheduled to be the last Diaz appearance under the UFC banner as Nate has refused to sign on to a new contract with the promotion. The decision to set up a veteran like Diaz against a sure-shot young title contender like Chimaev was questionable to many. This is something that Jake pointed out.

However, most of his attention was leaning towards the event not having sold out yet while being half a month away. This wasn’t the right move as Jake was recently caught up in a similar situation only that he had to take much more drastic measures.

While many theories exist about the cancellation of the Paul x Rahaman fight, a prevalent one that was pushed into the mainstream by Dana himself was that the event severely underperformed on ticket sales. Fans wouldn’t forget something like that so easily and hence mocked the YouTuber when he decided to call into question the UFC’s ticket sales.
