Mike Tyson in his podcast Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson remarked that Eminem walking out Terence Crawford ensured that “Bud” won even before the fight began. Jake Paul also supported Tyson’s claim wholeheartedly. Tyson and Paul were both joking a lot in the podcast where they talked about a variety of subjects.
Mike Tyson talked about taking advantage of opportunities when Paul thanked him for helping him to get the Nate Robinson fight. At this moment, Paul sang the lyrics of Eminem’s Lose Yourself citing the importance of capitalizing on the moment. When the co-host asked if Paul was all in for the idea of Eminem walking him out and Tyson said, “The fight was all over when he came out.”
Mike Tyson is training former UFC heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou for his highly anticipated boxing debut against Tyson Fury. Paul on the other hand is fresh off a victory over Nate Diaz and is planning on determining his next opponent, presumably KSI. Ngannou is a big underdog in his fight against Fury and with Mike Tyson in his corner, the impossible is possible. Before his victory over Diaz, Paul lost a close decision to Tommy Fury, the younger brother of Tyson Fury.
Canelo Alvarez responds to Terence Crawford fight at catchweight
Saul “Canelo” Alvarez admitted that fighting Terence Crawford at catchweight is not a possibility. Alvarez is adamant that he is fighting only at 168 pounds citing nothing to gain from cutting extra weight. Canelo refuted the matchup in the same way Crawford refuted the Gervonta Davis matchup. The reason is nothing to gain from a fighter coming up in weight.
Crawford is the undisputed welterweight champion and Alvarez is the undisputed champion in the super middleweight division. 21 pounds separate the two divisions and hence the chances of the fight happening are extremely rare. Crawford is undefeated and improved to 40-0 with the victory over Spence.
Alvarez is scheduled to fight Jermell Charlo, the undisputed light middleweight champion. Charlo would be coming up in weight against the Mexican superstar. If victorious against Charlo. Alvarez has a long list of protentional opponents lined up among which the most prominent is David Benavidez.
