Jake Paul will face Andre August in a boxing match this December. Paul expressed his belief that he was on a path to face boxing superstar Canelo Alvarez eventually.

Jake Paul has been involved in the sport of boxing since 2018. In 2021, he first expressed interest in facing boxing legend Canelo Alvarez in the ring. Now in a recent interview with Ariel Helwani, Paul said:

I think the path that I’m on now tees me up in the future to fight Canelo. It’s even just showing him that I can go 10 or 12 rounds with you, I’ve done that with real, legitimate pro boxers and beat them. So when I beat these guys in the year or two to come, and continue to raise the level of opposition, I think me vs. Canelo becomes a really interesting fight and something that a lot of people would be like.

Jake Paul’s next opponent is Andre August, a relatively unknown boxer from Beaumont, Texas. The fight is scheduled for December, with Jake Paul headlining a non-pay-per-view event on DAZN. Andre August has a professional record of 10-1-1.

The matchup represents Jake Paul’s continued effort to face actual boxers, moving away from pro-MMA fighters. Andre August is the most experienced professional boxer Paul has faced. The outcome will influence Jake Paul’s boxing journey as he aims for victory to close out the year.
