In the lead-up to their much-anticipated clash, Jake Paul had predicted a fifth-round knockout. And he almost delivered. Although Jake did knockdown Nate Diaz, it only happened once. However, people outside tried their luck on one another as well. A fight broke out outside the stadium in Dallas by the time the fight came to an end.
The clip of the brawl outside quickly made its way to social media. People were engaged in a fight, hitting and pushing one another. Although the reason for the fight is unclear, netizens have expressed their amusement to the ruckus. One user commented, “Everyone becomes a fighter in their head after events like this”.
Meanwhile, Jake Paul and Diaz’s fight had a ferocious start. Paul pushed Diaz against the ropes early on. Finally, in the fifth round, Paul landed a clean left hook, sending Diaz down. Nate Diaz stumbled and nearly fell through the ring ropes. However, Diaz quickly regained his footing and managed to survive the round, displaying remarkable resilience.
Reflecting on the fight at the post-match press conference, Paul explained, “I was punching him hard, but he was standing there. I didn’t want to exhaust myself and risk letting him come back into the match”. He acknowledged being patient and strategic. Paul was trying to find an opportunity to secure a definitive victory.

What is next for Jake Paul vs Nate Diaz?
Despite throwing powerful punches and aiming for a finish, Paul only managed to connect with that one significant knockdown. Throughout the ten rounds, Paul outlanded Diaz. But the former UFC fighter absorbed the blows and pressed on. “I don’t know how he survived the first round, but he’s a dog, and I fought hard,” Paul commented. He acknowledged that Diaz felt his power, particularly in the first round, as he saw his opponent’s eyes light up.
Regarding his future plans, Paul already mentioned the possibility of facing Diaz in MMA. He also expressed a desire for a rematch with Tommy Fury. Fury had handed Paul his only career defeat in a split decision last February. However, it seems that UFC superstar Conor McGregor is no longer on Paul’s radar. Jake Paul dismissed any interest in him. Instead Jake expressed his focus on challenging more professional boxers, including Canelo Alvarez.
The intense clash between Paul and Diaz is now behind us. Fans eagerly await to see what lies ahead for both fighters. Will they cross paths again in the octagon? Or will Paul continue his quest for redemption in the boxing ring against other formidable opponents? The world of combat sports remains captivated. Fans await the next chapter in this highly intriguing rivalry.
