“Kids hate going to school,” Jermall Charlo’s kids face bullying after Uncle Jermell faces embarrassing loss against Canelo Alvarez

Canelo Alvarez showed that he is the better fighter by defeating Jermell Charlo in their recent clash. The super middleweight champion and the light middleweight champion were undisputed in their respective weight classes. Furthermore, both fighters started their careers two decades ago and had a similar boxing record.
Hence, the matchup between them was interesting because they appeared to be of the same caliber. Surprisingly, Canelo Alvarez was able to out-point Charlo for 12 rounds, and he secured his victory via a unanimous decision. Across the match, Alvarez could dominate his opponent and also scored a knockdown in the 7th round. Jermall Charlo, Jermell’s brother, and the WBC middleweight champion, stated, “My kids don’t wanna go to school cause everybody keep tryna bully them because their uncle lost. That’s crazy! They tryna bully my kids and all this, because their uncle fought and, you know, he lost, like come on man.”
On Jermall’s Instagram Live, he revealed that his children were being bullied for their uncle’s defeat against Alvarez. Furthermore, Jermall stated that he has instructed his children to retaliate if anybody tries to bully them in school. Subsequently, Jermall began to hilariously beef with fans who were assuming that he was drunk on Instagram Live.
In addition, Jermall called out Alvarez, stating that he was coming after him for a fight. The Charlo brothers had done a lot of trash-talking about Alvarez and his boxing skills prior to the match. However, their trash talk only further motivated Alvarez to prove himself inside the ring. Hence, Alvarez would take up the opportunity to do the same to Jermall.
Oscar De La Hoya reacts to Canelo Alvarez vs. Jermell Charlo
Many fans and experts visibly expressed their disappointment with Jermell’s performance against Alvarez. Most people felt that Charlo was desperately trying to survive the match and secure his payday.
Fighters like Chris Eubank Jr. have also stated that Alvarez should fight someone like him who will fight with a lot more aggression. Furthermore, former professional boxer and CEO and chairman of Golden Boy Promotions, Oscar De La Hoya, also reacted to the fight. De La Hoya stated that the fight was super boring, and Charlo only showed up to secure his payday instead of trying to win against Canelo Alvarez.
De La Hoya was Alvarez’s former boxing promoter and was still confident that Canelo Alvarez would win with his superior boxing skills. Furthermore, De La Hoya urged other boxing promoters to align together and make super fights happen. Subsequently, the retired boxer said that super fights must be conducted, or the sport of boxing will die because of boring fights.
