Boxing legend Mike Tyson recalls story of robbing famous Wu-Tang Clan member U-God's mother when he was younger.

Mike Tyson has had a tumultuous past. One such incident came to light years after and involved a member of the famous Wu-Tang Clan whose mother Tyson had robbed years back. Here is what happened:
The Wu-Tang Clan was an influential hip-hop group from New York that formed in 1992. The group gained legendary status in the early 1990s and had a significant impact on hip-hop culture. One of its key members, U-God, accused Mike Tyson of robbing his mother when he was young. Tyson had previously responded to this promising reimbursement.

Recalling this on his podcast, Mike Tyson said:

Mike Tyson has openly admitted to engaging in criminal activities before his legendary boxing career. In his adolescence, Tyson engaged in crimes such as robbing stores, pickpocketing, and mugging people. He even confessed to robbing children as young as his 12-year-old daughter. Tyson even initially considered robbing his trainer and foster parent, Cus D’Amato, who played a crucial role in Tyson’s early boxing career.
“Iron Mike” went on to become one of the biggest names in boxing history. The ferocious heavyweight fighter made a name for himself for his vicious strength and quick, brutal knockouts. Mike Tyson’s net worth at the height of his career in 1990 is estimated to be around $400 million.
Mike Tyson’s troubled criminal childhood
In his childhood, Mike Tyson saw nothing but poverty, violence, and crime. He grew up in Brownsville, Brooklyn, which was one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in New York City at the time. Tyson’s mother died when he was 16. Early on in his life, Tyson managed to land himself in a juvenile detention center for a string of criminal offenses.

Mike Tyson faced bullying as a child and got in trouble with the law. Tyson never knew his biological father, Purcell Tyson. Meanwhile, his stepfather, Jimmy Kirkpatrick, abandoned the family when Tyson was just two. Tyson also revealed that he was sexually abused by a stranger when he was seven.
He has narrated stories where he got into three or four street fights daily, even fighting grown men during this time. By the time he was twelve, Mike Tyson had been arrested several times for street robberies and burglaries in his neighborhood.
