Fan-favorite UFC fighter Nate Diaz left the company last year to pursue boxing interests. Diaz will make his boxing debut against Jake Paul in Texas. However, in a shocking statement, Diaz revealed his desired opponents for his boxing debut.

MMA Junkie reporter Mike Bohn interviewed Nate Diaz to get insight into his boxing bout with Paul. The 38-year-old proceeded to shock Bohn with certain revelations. He said, “We had Floyd on the call; some of Pacquiao’s guys were calling us, and some MMA shows were calling us for big deals and big stuff, but I thought this was the right choice.” Diaz wanted to fight Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao before signing the deal to fight Paul.

Mayweather continues to box in exhibition bouts, whereas Pacquiao retired in 2021. Recently, Pacquiao lost a court case against Paradigm Sports Management company. He will have to pay a fee of $5.1 million for the damages caused. Mayweather had discussions to box UFC legend Jose Aldo in a boxing bout. However, they have not signed a contract for the bout.

Diaz also praised Logan Paul and Jake Paul in the interview. He said, “He and his brother are doing the biggest things and making an impact on both sports and the YouTube community, and they’re not f***ing around. Look at them. They’re mean, they want to fight people, and they’re about it.”  Fight fans will find out if Diaz can secure his first boxing win in August.

Nate Diaz revealed his future plans to Mike Bohn of MMA Junkie in an interview. He wishes to return to the UFC after boxing Jake Paul in August. The 38-year-old is not interested in hanging up his gloves without a final stint in the UFC. Diaz revealed his intention to complete the trilogy with Conor McGregor.

Diaz said, “I don’t think about it like that, but regardless of that, I would like to get the third fight with Conor.” Diaz will once again become a free agent after fighting Paul in August. His boxing contract only has one fight to fulfill. Diaz can return to the UFC if he wants to

Fight fans will be excited at the prospect of a trilogy bout featuring McGregor and Diaz. McGregor will return to the UFC later this year after two years away from the sport. If the stars align, UFC will book the trilogy to one of the greatest rivalries of the sport.
