Heavyweight Champions Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk almost booked a fight to collide in April to unify all their titles. However, plenty of obstacles came, and the fight got cancelled. With both parties unable to reach an agreement and recent reports suggesting that the commission wants Uysk to defend his title against Daniel Dubois, Usyk took another swipe at Fury before moving on to the next fight.
He said, “He is trying very hard to copy the great Muhammad Ali, but the copy is very bad.” Muhammad Ali is considered one of the greatest boxers of all time, and Fury is trying to imitate the great boxer in terms of accomplishments, trash talk and promotions. However, Usyk thinks that Fury is a failed copy of Ali.
Oleksandr Usyk is an undefeated boxer who previously reigned as the best Cruiserweight boxer in the world. After dominating all his competitions, he moved to the Heavyweight division and has found enormous success. He defeated former Champion Antony twice and looked forward to challenging another undefeated fighter in Tyson Fury. However, the negotiations for the fight fell apart, and now he will face another challenger.

Tyson Fury and Usyk could still fight somewhere down the line; however, for now, Usyk has been ordered by the commission to fight Daniel Dubois in his next fight. Since coming after a hiatus, Fury has a nine-fight-unbeaten streak over the last five years. Fury will look towards another opponent now that Usyk’s fight is off and will look to fight the Ukranian champion in the future.
Anthony Joshua wants to fight Tyson Fury
Now that the Usyk fight is off, Tyson Fury will look to fight another contender. Reports suggest that Usyk will face Daniel Dubois next for the title defence. It leaves Fury without an opponent for the time being. However, former Champion Anthony Joshua wants the Fury challenge.

After his victory over Jermaine Franklin, Joshua revealed his intention to fight either Deontay Wilder or Tyson Fury next. He said, “One Hundred Percent, Tyson Fury. That’s a pot of Gold” when asked about his next opponent. The two have been rumoured to fight for a long time, and it looks like the fight can happen soon.
Fury is without a clear opponent after negotiations for the Usyk fight fell apart. Joshua fighting Fury could entice fans as they feel it is a long time coming. The two British Heavyweights could sell out any arena and could be the biggest fight in British boxing history.
