Fans are in a frenzy upon viewing Oscar De La Hoya‘s reaction to Ryan Garcia going on a late-night run with Floyd Mayweather Jr. Oscar De La Hoya and Floyd Mayweather were rivals in their glory days. Now, Ryan Garcia’s spending time with Mayweather seems to put De La Hoya in a pickle.

Recently, Mayweather and Garcia were spotted going for a late-night run in Las Vegas. This led to many fans speculating about the relationship the two share and how this would affect his bond with Oscar De La Hoya. In a recent interview, Hoya was asked the same. He had this to say:

Back in the day, in my book that was conflict of interest.We might put you on notice beacuse promoters are talking to out fighters. I think that it’s great that Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Ryan Garcia are running together, because he can soak up all of the knowledge from Floyd. A young kid who can be amongst greats.

Garcia and Mayweather also went to a basketball game together, sharing courtside seats. This increasing interaction between the two boxers made people think that Ryan could join Mayweather Promotions. However, no such partnership can exist as long as Garcia remains under the Golden Boy banner.

Ryan Garcia has been under the guidance of Oscar De La Hoya since he became a pro at the tender age of 17. The latter signed him to his promotion company in 2017. However, there has been turmoil between Garcia and the company after his loss against Gervonta Davis. Since then, we have seen frequent interactions between the young superstar and Mayweather.

YouTube had reached out to Ryan Garcia to document his personal life and training camp moments for his fight against Luke Campbell. The documentary had multiple episodes showcasing different elements of the young superstar’s life. It presented the dedication it takes to become a boxer. It also displayed the struggles the boxing sensation faced to reach the level he is right now.

The documentary is available free on Ryan Garcia’s YouTube channel. It had an epic build-up to the climax, showing Ryan beating Luke Campbell with a devastating body shot knockout.

At the end of the series, Ryan also called out Gervonta Davis. He confidently said he would put Gervonta to sleep painlessly. However, time showed that that didn’t happen. Nevertheless, the series is a must-watch for any boxing fan seeking to look at the behind-the-scenes of a major boxer’s life.

Ryan Garcia is still a young fighter with a tremendous hunger to create a legacy worthy of the Hall of Fame. A winner isn’t defined by his loss but by his will to come back victorious. This applies to Ryan Garcia currently. There are talks about a mega fight between Devin Haney and Garcia. Only time will tell if the latter has improved and has what it takes to be one of the greatest boxers of this era.
