De La Hoya shed light on why he thinks Garcia will become a legend.

Despite not possessing a single world title Garcia surely has become a very influential fighter. Oscar De La Hoya believes that Garcia has the potential to become the biggest fighter. He also added Garcia could become even bigger than Canelo Alvarez and himself.
“I’ve always said that Ryan Garcia can become even bigger than Canelo, bigger than Oscar De La Hoya, bigger than whoever out there,” said De La Hoya. Canelo Alvarez, as of now, is the biggest draw in American Boxing. With his popularity, the boxer makes big gates, and PPV buys for each of his matches. Considering the boxer’s rise in the sport, Oscar’s statement regarding Garcia’s future might not be too far-fetched.
