He says in an interview that “All roads lead to Ryan Garcia.” Since the lightweight division is a competitive category. Further, Oscar makes a remark on how promoters and managers are gradually realizing Garcia is a threat and, as a result, lining up fights.

De La Hoya, on the other hand, is correct when he claims that the lightweight category is competitive. Top competitors in this class include George Kambasos Jbr, Teofimo Lopez, Vasyl Lomachenko, and Gervonta Davis. So, if any other fighter wanted to advance in the ranks, they would have to meet Garcia, which would put their talents to the test.

Oscar, Ryan Garcia‘s promoter, has hinted that Devin Haney will have to fight Garica at some point. Haney, of course, won the Undisputed Lightweight Champion on June 5 when he defeated George Kambosos Jr. by unanimous decision in Australia.

Garcia will consequently have to concentrate on winning his own great victory in order to pursue a title challenge. With De La Hoya clearly certain that Haney’s path would lead to Garcia, the highly awaited fight remains a viable possible so that he can dethrone the reigning champ.

While De La Hoya suggested that all roads lead to Garcia, he didn’t propose a specific time for a potential fight. However, Garcia’s promoter has already claimed this year that his fighter will become a world champion.

While De La Hoya has made the above statements, he did not specify a date for a possible confrontation.  On the other hand, he has already said that his boxer will become a world champion this year, implying that it could happen very soon.
