Zuffa Boxing 11 took place in London, England, last night with Johnny Fisher and Michael Pirotton as the headlining attractions. However, it was Dana White who stole all the headlines with his heated post-fight press conference. Fans believe that White was angry at the questions asked by the reporters.

The reporters assembled at Zuffa Boxing 11 was different from what White was used to during his UFC press conferences. The first question that triggered the UFC CEO was about his role in the upcoming superfight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.

White answered that question by stating that he had answered the question 257,000 times. Then, another reported asked him if the superfight would happen in December.

The UFC CEO admitted that he couldn’t answer due to the uncertainty surrounding the superfight. Immediately, he went on a rant targeting Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, for his antics.

Well, the guy who’s supposed to be helping the fight is hurting the fight the entire time. He hasn’t done the fight any favors, let’s put it that way…

Once the questions started to revolve around White’s role in the Fury vs Joshua showdown, the UFC boss started to get angry. The 57-year-old ruthlessly targeted Hearn with multiple expletives uttered during the post-fight presser.

Eddie Hearn will probably do 652,000 interviews in the next three hours. So, I’m sure he will answer a lot of those questions. If Eddie Hearn really cared about this fight, first of all, the fight would have happened a long time ago. Number two – he could finance the thing himself. Finance the fight yourself, sell tickets, cut a TV deal and sell the fight.

Earlier this year, Turki Alalshikh promised the fans about Fury facing Joshua. However, Hearn consistently wanted nothing to do with White promoting the fight.

Hearn revealed that Joshua’s contract includes the exclusion of White and TKO from the upcoming superfight. At the same time, Fury wants the UFC CEO to be involved.

To that end, ‘The Gypsy King’ removed such clauses from his contract, paving the way for White’s involvement. Fury also blamed Hearn’s ego for trying to exclude White from the superfight.

Despite Netflix announcing the superfight, nothing is set as both parties may withdraw due to the unresolved issues. It remains to be seen if both parties will come to an agreement moving forward.

Max Kellerman explains Dana White’s involvement in the upcoming Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua bout

Ever since leaving ESPN, Max Kellerman has found a new home in Zuffa Boxing. He serves as the lead media face, primary commentator, and promotional advocate for Dana White and Turki Alalshikh-led company.

Kellerman addressed the controversy involving White’s role in the upcoming Fury vs Joshua superfight. After all, Hearn wants their contract to be honored as it involves the exclusion of White. This made Kellerman clarify White’s role on the Zuffa Boxing 11 broadcast.

Dana White’s involvement in the fight, so people know, is purely in assisting Turki Alalshikh, who has been the engine behind just about every big fight in boxing over the last handful of years. He’s assisting Turki in a personal capacity, not as a promoter.

As Kellerman said, Alalshikh is one covering costs and his vision is executed by White and Nick Khan as lead executives of Zuffa Boxing.

It is not known if Joshua’s contract limits the involvement of White as a helper for Alalshikh. If not, fans have theorized that Eddie Hearn is doing whatever he can to get one over Dana White.

Regardless of how things have turned out, the rivalry between Hearn and White has done well in promoting Joshua and Fury. Without even a press conference, fans are wondering if the fight moves forward at all based on the actions from both sides.
