Early on in 2026, things definitely looked like Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua would happen after years of anticipation. Turki Alalshikh promised a late 2026 date for the superfight. So far, an official announcement hasn’t happened and Dana White knows who’s responsible for that.

Dana White’s involvement became clear after he invited Fury to the UFC Freedom 250 event. For years, Fury couldn’t enter the United States due to his connection with the Kinahan Organized Crime Group. White’s relationship with US President Donald Trump definitely helped out Fury.

Currently, the venue of the fight remains a problem as Hearn and Joshua wants the superfight to happen in the UK. Meanwhile, Alalshikh and broadcasting partner, Netflix, wants Madison Square Garden as their preferred arena.

The negotiations not moving forward has made the UFC CEO to come out and blast Eddie Hearn for making things difficult.

I would never be in Eddie Hearn’s position because I’m not Eddie Hearn. We are not the same… I don’t know what else to say about the whole thing. I’ve never seen guy who’s supposed to be a promoter of an event hurt a fight more than this guy has. It’s pretty fascinating actually. This guy continues to hurt this fight, which is the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen.

Over the past year, Hearn and White has taken shots at each other multiple times. White signed Conor Benn for Zuffa Boxing, a client of Hearn. This made their friendship crumble and the British promoter has since taken on the role of White’s adversary.

Since then, Hearn has made it clear that he doesn’t want White to be a part of Fury vs ‘AJ’ superfight. Alalshikh tried to play peacemaker for all the people involved. However, it doesn’t look like all everything was sorted.

Anthony Joshua recently doubled down on wanting the superfight to happen in the UK. Meanwhile, Fury claimed that the negotiation tactic from AJ and Hearn only aimed to get more money from Alalshikh and Netflix.

With all that’s going on, everyone needs to settle their dispute if they want to fight in November as planned. Moreover, White revealed one possible setback if the fight happens in the UK.

Dana White warns about less money if Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua happens in the UK

Tyson Fury retired after losing to Oleksandr Usyk for the second time only to come back this year. Fury has always prioritized big paychecks, which is why he is not that concerned about the venue for the superfight.

Recently, ‘The Gypsy King’ went on a rant about Hearn and Joshua while simultaneously praising Dana White. There is a chance that the superfight may not happen at all due to the conflict of interest from both sides. As such, White believes he’s taking the job of a promoter more seriously than Hearn.

I can tell you this, if it happens in the U.K. there’s a lot less money involved in the fight. So my job is this, my job is I come in and I figure out how to make both guys money and how to make all the other people involved money.

Fury has competed twice this year to be in shape after taking a year off from boxing. Meanwhile, Joshua came back to boxing after the death of his close friends in a car crash after Christmas last year.

At the moment, the superfight is looking likely to happen in the UK due to constant demands from Hearn and Joshua.

Even British boxing fans want the superfight to happen in the UK from all the tweets and comments online. As such, it remains to be seen what the organizers decide in the coming weeks.
