Stevenson started boxing when he was just five years old. Two of his biggest accolades are his Olympic silver medal and WBO featherweight title. In 2016, he won a silver medal in the bantamweight event at the Rio Olympics. Shakur won the WBO featherweight title in 2019 with a unanimous decision win over Joet Gonzalez. In 2021, he won the WBO junior lightweight belt against Jamel Herring with a TKO win.

Deen has a professional boxing record of 1-0-0 and has fought on the undercard of the Misfits Boxing X Series. He defeated Walid Sharks with a unanimous decision after five rounds.
