In a boxing gym, light sparring and hard sparring are conducted on different days. However, sparring sessions are notoriously known for being intense, even when both fighters are asked to go easy. Furthermore, this is beneficial if it is done under the supervision of a referee or coach because it simulates an actual fight inside the ring. In addition, these sparring sessions can be quite interesting, and a video of a sparring session between a father and a son is going viral because of this.
In the video, it appears that the father and son are avid fans of the sport. Furthermore, it seems like the duo is training at home instead of at a boxing gym. Regardless, the background of the room reflects their love for the sport. Subsequently, several gloves are hanging on the wall, and a heavy bag can be seen. The father is sitting on a chair so that he is in the same height range as his very young son. In the video, the father and the son engage in close-range sparring, which is also called in-fighting. Both of them have their guard up while they attempt to land solid close-range punches.
The father did not appear to hold back and stayed in the defense while throwing punches. However, the son was able to land several solid hooks at his father, which was impressive considering his age and size disadvantage.
