Floyd Mayweather vs Don Moore cancelled
Fights fans were excited for the upcoming exhibition fight between Floyd Mayweather and Don Moore at the iconic Burj Al Arab, Dubai on May 14. But now it seems like they will have to wait for that fight to happen.
Mayweather previously stopped boxing in 2015 but came back to fight Conor McGregor in 2018 and both made history. After that Mayweather was also involved in two exhibition bouts against Tenshin Nasukawa and Logan Paul. His last bout with YouTube superstar Paul was a massive hit and the event was fully sold.
After a year, Mayweather came back to fight his longtime training partner and former professional boxer Moore. The pair have been together in Dubai for the promotion of the bout for a long time now.

It seems like fans will have to wait a little more to see the fight between Mayweather and Moore.
Popular sports writer, Michel Benson recently shared the news about the cancellation on his official Twitter account. The exhibition is off at the last minute due to the unfortunate death of UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Due to the passing of Sheikh Khalifa, UAE Government officials have issued an order for the suspension of any kind of work in the country for the next three days. This also includes the suspension of the Mayweather vs Moore fight.
Mayweather has not given any statement on the cancellation of the fight but has shared his condolences for the president in his social media.
The retired boxer shared a picture of Sheikh Khalifa on his Instagram account and wrote ” Sending my condolences to the entire UAE,” he said. “RIP Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed.“
Other than this, there has been no information regarding the new schedule of the event. In a press release from the promoter of the fight, it said ” We are deeply saddened by the announcement of the recent passing of UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan…Therefore, the Global Titans Dubai event, which was scheduled to take place on May 14th at the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah, has been postponed until further notice. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and reassure fans that this spectacular event will be staged in the future.”
