Long-time celebrity boxing rivals Jake Paul and Tommy Fury finally faced off inside the boxing ring on Sunday. While most of the fans believed that the whole narrative to the build-up of the fight was scripted, Tommy Fury shocked the world after scoring a split decision victory over Jake Paul.
Tommy Fury vs Jake Paul was scheduled for an 8-round bout to determine who the better boxer is. A legit professional boxer, Tommy Fury is also the younger brother of WBO heavyweight boxing champ, Tyson Fury. The legendary ‘Fury’ bloodline has been known throughout boxing history for producing some of the best professional fighters.

Most fans believed that Tommy Fury would be paid handsomely by Jake Paul to take a dive after misleading details of their fight contract surfaced on the internet. Jake Paul had predicted a knockout victory over Fury in the build-up to the fight. However, Tommy Fury ensured that Paul’s boxing gimmicks are mostly PR stunts.
Fighters and fans around have celebrated Paul’s loss after the fighter built a supposed professional boxing career by defeating older fighters who were entering the later ends of their careers. Although Tommy Fury did win the fight, a clause in his contract with Paul implied an obligation to a rematch if Tommy won.

Although Tommy Fury turned up as the better fighter on Sunday, Jake Paul’s boxing gimmicks could now garner him more attention as Paul has asked to run it back. The contractual clause of the fight has suggested that in case Fury wins, he would be subject to a rematch to settle the score once and for all.
UFC welterweight legend, Nate Diaz has reacted to Jake Paul and Logan Paul’s recent PR stunts and Paul’s disrespectful behavior towards Fury’s family in the middle of the fight on a microphone. “This guy needs his a** beat. And who let the spoiled lil b***h yell obnoxious shit during the fight?” Diaz wrote in his after Logan Paul’s disrespectful comments to Fury’s family in the middle of rounds.
UFC veteran, Nate Diaz has previously been called out by Jake Paul to a boxing fight and both fighters have taken shots at each other over Twitter. Diaz seemed satisfied to see Jake Paul get out struck by Tommy Fury. Jake Paul and Logan Paul have both been called out by fighters and fans for polarizing the fighting community with their business ventures and ruining the sport.
More contractual red tape and fighting stakeholding in promotional ventures have also previously haunted the sport of boxing before. Jake’s brother, Logan Paul also made a bet with equity holdings with his hydration drink brand, PRIME.
