Tyson Fury has been out of the boxing ring since December. Fury last fought against Derek Chisora, stopping him in the tenth round. Following the bout, Fury faced off with longtime rival Oleksandr Usyk. They teased a potential clash at Wembley Stadium in April. However, after many complications, authorities targeted December in Saudi Arabia. However, recent updates revealed that the Saudi authorities have postponed it further and that the two will not be seen in the ring together until 2024.

Meanwhile, amidst all the chaos, a new prospective opponent for the legendary boxer has come up. And he is from the world of MMA. Both Francis Ngannou and Tyson Fury have shown interest in a potential bout in the past. Both are big names in the fighting industry, and a previous clash between the two was observed during the Mayweather vs McGregor ordeal back in 2017.

Ariel Helwani posted a tweet announcing that a heavyweight clash is highly anticipated. As of now, the fight has not been confirmed. Discussions about a potential showdown between the two began as early as 2021. Ngannou even entered the boxing ring after Fury’s knockout victory over Dillian Whyte. However, Ngannou was unable to pursue a boxing career at that time.

But now, with PFL, Ngannou’s contract even has a boxing clause, which makes a “Fury vs Ngannou” crossover a very likely event in the near future. Tyson Fury recently uploaded a story on his Instagram where he was practicing drills and suddenly shifted to throwing knees and elbows. While some made fun of this awkward shift, others took this as a hint of the speculated matchup coming to fruition.
