Tyson Fury has shocked the world with the news that he will be retiring from the sport of professional boxing. The Gypsy King announced his retirement after his recent fight against Dillian Whyte.

Tyson Fury took on Dillian Whyte at the Wembley Stadium on April 23rd in London, United Kingdom. Fury put an exemplary performance that will go down as one of his best in the boxing ring in front of 94,000 fans. Fury took out Whyte in the sixth round with a clean uppercut to retain and unify the WBC heavyweight belts.

Fury is still one of the most successful boxers in the world. The Gypsy King has never been stopped inside the boxing ring and has an undefeated record. Tyson, who is 33 years old has decided it is time for him to hang his gloves. In the post-fight interview of his fight against Whyte, he announced that it will be his final performance in the boxing ring.

After briefly mentioning his retirement in the boxing ring, Fury elaborated on his decision to retire at the post-fight press conference. Tyson says he has achieved all there is and it makes sense for him to retire. Fury also said, “I am a two-time undisputed world champion. I have 150 million pounds in the bank and nothing to prove to anybody,” leading up to the fight.

In the post-fight press conference, Fury mentioned the reason behind his retirement by mentioning all of the titles that he has won in his career. The 6 ft 9 in heavyweight boxer has never been stopped in the boxing ring. He became the two-time undisputed world heavyweight champion and also has 23 knockouts to his name.

“I have won every bout there is to win in this game. If this was a computer game it would have been completed,” said Fury in the press conference as the reporters in the room cheered for the fighter. However, Fury did call out Francis Ngannou, the UFC heavyweight champion for a super fight. Tyson called on Ngannou to the boxing ring in Wembley and announced that the two will fight each other.
