Tyson Fury is the reigning WBC heavyweight champion of the world. In recent times, he captured the spotlight of the MMA and Boxing worlds after his online beef with Francis Ngannou and Jon Jones. However, he will not fight them inside the octagon as he prefers the boxing ring.

After being called out by Fury recently, Jon Jones showed interest in a crossover MMA fight. In response to such developments, Tyson Fury posted a story on his official Instagram account regarding the matter. He increased the stakes by proposing two fights in one night against Jones and Ngannou. Tyson Fury said his proposal indicated how much he “values those two bums.”

Fury has the best trash-talking game in boxing and delivered some nasty lines to Ngannou and Jones. Much like Conor McGregor in the past, Fury learned to back up all the trash talk he brings to the table with any fighter. This has resulted in a massive fan following for the undefeated boxing champion.

Such a fight seems tempting to everyone involved, but the safety and health of Tyson Fury must also be considered while implementing such a proposal. Only influencer boxers like KSI have managed to pull off such events due to the amateur levels of boxing in which he operates. For elite fighters like Fury, Jones, and Ngannou, such an event can end up in dangerous waters. Nevertheless, it seems unlikely that Dana White will allow such a fight to happen.

Jon Jones remains among the top superstars in the UFC. Like Tyson Fury in boxing, Jones has defeated everyone in MMA. A matchup between the two icons of their respective sports would certainly mean big money. Tyson spoke about the chances of fighting Jones. He said, “Of course, I would fight Jon; he’s the world champion.”

Ultimately, the fate of a potential between the two rested in the hands of the UFC president Dana White. Dana discussed the super fight in a recent post-match press conference in Vegas. He said he would happily book the fight to determine “the baddest man on the planet.”

Dana explained that he respects “The Gypsy King” and that there would be no point in conducting the fight in a boxing ring. This leaves us with a matchup between the two in the octagon, and Dana White stated that Fury could contact him if he wanted to fight Jones inside the cage.
