Boxing fans have wanted Oleksandr Usyk or Anthony Joshua to fight “The Gypsy King” Tyson Fury. Instead, the Gypsy King will face former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou in Saudi Arabia on October 29th. However, Fury’s WBC belt will not be at stake in the crossover fight but will reflect on their record.
In Fury’s new Netflix documentary, he addressed the accusations of him avoiding fighting Usyk. Furthermore, he claimed to have the ability to defeat Joshua and Usyk if they fought in a WWE-style 2 on 1 handicap match. However, Fury believed he would emerge victorious in a two versus-one tag team boxing fight and was not underestimating them. In addition, Fury revealed no upsides to him fighting the Ukrainian. He said, “Me giving Usyk a fight is like me not chucking him the bone, but chucking him the full dog’s home.” (H/T- Daily Mirror)
Fury also said that beating the smaller middle-weight fighter would prove nothing to him. However, if Usyk won the match, it would be his greatest accomplishment because he beat an undefeated champion. Hence, Fury believed that Usyk was not a worthy challenge, and neither would defeating him give Fury any glory or credit.
Fury entertained the idea of a 2 on 1 handicap bout and vowed to defeat them both on the same night. Hence, if they switched each round, Fury remains confident that he could beat them both in the same fight.

Mike Tyson shares clip of Francis Ngannou training ahead of match against Tyson Fury

Francis Ngannou and Mike Tyson will embark as a fighter-coach duo for an upcoming boxing bout against Fury. Tyson is not known for being a trainer. Ngannou could learn a lot of things in a short amount of time from the legendary heavyweight boxer.
Tyson released a video on Twitter of his training sessions with Ngannou. He wrote, “We’re just getting started.” The video showed the boxing legend hitting the pads while instructing and polishing Ngannou’s boxing skills. People have assumed that Ngannou does not stand a chance against Fury, who is more experienced than him. However, even though Fury is an experienced boxer, Tyson believes that Ngannou has a chance of beating him. Furthermore, Tyson warned Fury to be wary of Ngannou and not underestimate him.
Furthermore, after closely working with him, Tyson believes Ngannou has a destructive punching power. Hence, if Ngannou can land a few solid punches on Fury, then he could easily win.
