In recent weeks, the rumor mill has been buzzing with speculation that Endeavor, the parent company of the UFC, is eyeing a potential acquisition of Top Rank, the legendary boxing promotion headed by Bob Arum. The news sent shockwaves through the combat sports community and spread like wildfire. Subsequently, this sparked debates and excitement about the possibility of Dana White venturing into the world of boxing. However, White himself has swiftly dismissed these rumors, putting an end to the speculation.

The rumors began circulating after a report claimed that UFC and WWE’s parent company, Endeavor, were in talks to purchase Top Rank. This potential acquisition would have provided Endeavor with an entry point into the boxing industry. Hence, this would expand its influence beyond the realm of mixed martial arts. Subsequently, this would also lead to White, a dominant figure in the UFC, making his mark on boxing for the first time. Furthermore, Dana White shot down these rumors by stating:

The news was initially provided by Rick Glaser, a veteran boxing matchmaker who has been an integral aspect of the industry. Furthermore, Glaser revealed that Top Rank is currently in the process of being acquired by Endeavor, headed by Ari Emanuel.

Subsequently, Glaser stated that after 52 years, Arum is about to retire while letting White take over next. However, the news was quickly shut down after White confirmed that the news was not at all true. In addition, White cleared out the rumor on his Instagram by stating that they were not going to purchase Top Rank.

The prospect of Endeavor acquiring Top Rank would have undoubtedly reshaped the boxing landscape. Top Rank, with its rich history and stability, and if Endeavor would purchase it, then White would directly enter the boxing industry.

However, White has made repeated public statements about his interest in boxing.
