Transgender athletes in sports have been a topic of discussion for quite some time now. Recently, the famous YouTuber True Geordie has voiced his opinion on this very topic. He speaks about the dangers of inequality in combat sports like boxing. Now the question arises: Is he addressing the problem correctly or is he being discriminative?

True Geordie, in a recent podcast episode, broke his silence. He addressed the issue of transgender boxers competing with biological females from birth. He very clearly spoke against it and said that not only was it unfair but also life-threatening. The famous British personality was quite furious while speaking about this topic. He also questioned whether a fighter like Mike Tyson could fight females if he underwent the surgery. His exact words were:

True Geordie is cussed at by heavyweight champ Tyson Fury

True Geordie is notorious for asking the hard questions. The Youtuber never anticipated the response from Tyson Fury when interviewed about his 3rd fight with Derek Chisora. The outraged boxing champ hurled abuses at the YouTuber after his strict questioning of the fight.

True Geordie mentioned that Tyson had already beaten Chisora twice therefore does it make sense to fight again? However, the line of questioning rubbed the champ the wrong way forcing him to lash out at his interviewer.

Fans too criticised the champ over his “cherrypicking” of opponents. However, Tyson snapped back by saying:

No matter what you say, or what people like you want to say about Derek Chisora, he’s achieved more in boxing and in fighting than ten men like you could ever achieve.
