“Don’t feel it is appropriate”- Warren informs about keeping the Tyson fury vs Anthony Joshua talks on hold amid Queen’s demise

Tyson Fury outlines the terms for potential fight against Anthony Joshua
This Thursday, Queen Elizabeth II passed away peacefully inside the Balmoral Castle. Hence, Frank Warren believes Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua talks should be kept on hold. Queen died at the age of 96 but left a huge legacy behind her. She reigned as the queen of the UK and other commonwealth realms for 70 years which is the longest in British history.
After the Queen’s passing, the whole UK did an official mourning period in respect to her majesty. This also resulted in the cancellation of many sporting events including boxing bouts. Claressa Shields vs. Savannah Marshall which was going to take place inside the O2 arena was also rescheduled.
It seems like it has also affected many other events such as the ongoing negotiations between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua. Both the fighters are ready to fight each other and at the end of this year however, it might take some time to get the original dates.
“On hold at the moment”- Frank Warren talks about the ongoing arrangements of the Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua fight

Frank Warren was the first one to speak about the possibility of the mega fight between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury. Warren is the promoter of Fury and was keen for the fight between the two Brits.
After Fury announced his comeback and Joshua accepted the challenge to fight, Warren has been trying his best to make this fight possible. However, it seems like the preparations regarding the fight will now have to take the back seat.

Warren in a recent interview with talkSPORT revealed that due to the death of Queen Elizabeth ii, they have decided to stop the preparations. According to Warren, it is not right to talk and promote the fight during these times. Warren explained that out of respect they have halted everything and will pick it up from next week. He said :
“We’ve put it all on hold at the moment. It wasn’t appropriate obviously. That’s how we feel. We’ve put it on hold and will pick up on it in the next week or so. From our perspective, we don’t feel it is appropriate out of respect for what has happened.”
It’s expected from the organizers to take this step after the Queen’s death as it had affected the whole UK. However, the excitement for the fight is massive and they definitely know that and will start the work as soon as possible.
