WBC orders Ryan Garcia vs Isaac Cruz for a lightweight title eliminator bout

Ryan Garcia is a very popular name in combat sport. The Boxer has a huge social media fan following with over 8 million followers on Instagram and over a million subscribers on YouTube. Ryan has made a brand around himself as he is progressing in the sport of boxing at just the age of 23.

Ryan is currently undefeated and has a professional record of 22 victories and 0 losses. Ryan has 18 knockouts in his career and he scored a career-best win in January 2021 when he stopped Olympic gold medalist Luke Campbell and sent him into retirement. It now seems that Ryan has been inching close to the lightweight title fight, as he is now planning to fight Isaac Cruz for a Lightweight Title eliminator.

Both Ryan Garcia and Isaaz Cruz were in discussion over the last few months, however, both fought different foes. While Garcia picked up a big unanimous decision victory over Emmanuel Tagoe, Cruz knocked out Yuriorkis Gamboa a week later.

According to ESPN’s Mike Coppinger, Ryan Garcia will meet Isaac Cruz in the ring next. Mike, in his recent tweet, revealed that the WBC has ordered a lightweight title eliminator fight between Garcia and Cruz.

Mike tweeted: “The WBC has ordered a lightweight title eliminator between Ryan Garcia and Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz, per a letter obtained by ESPN. If no deal struck, purse bid on June 14. Title held by Devin Haney, who meets George Kambosos for an undisputed championship on June 5. Story coming”

As WBC ordered a Lightweight bout between Garcia and Cruz, Ryan expressed his excitement about the fight. The camps of Garcia and Cruz have been in discussions over a fight for quite some time. However, both didn’t meet each other in the ring and fought different opponents.

According to WBC, this fight is a Lightweight title eliminator bout and the winner of the fight will face David Haney, who currently holds the WBC Lightweight title. Ryan has been excited about the fight and has expressed his excitement through his Instagram post.

Ryan posted a picture of him along with Isaac Cruz with the caption: “I’m so excited! This fight just got ordered by the WBC so little chance this man escapes from his fate when he enters the ring with me. Let’s go Pitbull, roof roof, time to make this happen. Don’t do anything weird, let’s give the fans what they want!”
