“Tyson Fury’s final purse for the Dillian Whyte fight is $33.6million (£26.2million) – base purse of $29.5million, plus the $4.1million winner’s bonus. Whyte gets $7.4million (£5.8million), so the final purse split is 82/18 in Fury’s favour,” wrote Benson.
It seems like the fight between Fury and Whyte delivered what it promised and both fighters were given their share. But fight fans had mixed reactions to the spilt as many thought it was unfair for Whyte and many agreed with the decision. Logically, Fury is the biggest draw in the world of boxing and in the fight the Brit mostly did all the promotions, attracted the audience etc. It was obvious that Fury deserves a lot more that Whyte.
