RFK Racing co-owner and No:6 Ford Mustang driver Brad Keselowski is one of the biggest talents in the history of the sport. His rise to the top was nothing but easy as he has to survive many years of mediocracy with backpackers to establish himself as a championship contender and get the big break he deserved in the Cup tier.
NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. played massive role in his assent into top by giving him an opportunity to race for JR Motorsports. He raced at JRM for two Xfinity seasons and secured P3 in the championship both years he drove full-time. Junior gave Keselowski the call to join them in 2008, after seeming his impressive performance as a substitute driver in the Truck Series.

That performance helped him to establish as a top driver flipping his status as just a back-marker driver with Keith Coleman Racing entirely as he was racing with JRM before the season even ended. The call and the experience he got with JRM helped him to land the Team Penske ride and titles in the Cup and Xfinity Series. Keselowski recalled all these experience in his podcast appearance with Kevin Harvick.
Next thing I knew, I was flying to North Carolina, and my world just flipped. I went from being a survival driver, literally in my twenties, trying to survive week to week, not knowing how I would get to the racetrack, to having a legitimate ride and establishing myself.Brad Keselowski said via Happy Hour podcast.
Brad Keselowski reveals how the cost of running teams have increased
After his multiple years of success with Team Penske Racing in 2022, Keselowski took the next step of his career and joined RFK Racing as a co-owner/driver. His primary concern coming into the year was the teams return to it’s former glory and one of the major changes he is facing while fighting to achieve this goal is the cost of running the team which has increase over the years.
My point of view is that the sport is very expensive. We have a lot of inflation-related matters that are hitting NASCAR just as they are hitting everybody else. The cost to operate a team has never been more expensive.Brad Keselowski said.
He just like many teams in the garage is looking to NASCAR to help them get out of these tough times by giving them a better charter deal. But it won’t be easy as the negotiations hasn’t went as expected despite the deal coming to an end this season.
