Kevin Harvick is a professional stock car racing driver who raced in the NASCAR Cup Series from 2001 to 2023. One of the winningest drivers in the sport’s history, Harvick was born to Mike Harvick and JoNell Walker on December 8, 1975, in Bakersfield, California. He is married to DeLana Linville and has two children. A son named Keelan Harvick and a daughter named Piper Harvick.

When was Kevin Harvick’s NASCAR debut?

He made his NASCAR debut in 1995 in the Cup series after making a name for himself in Karting and  Late Model Racing. Harvick drove a family-owned Mike Harvick No:72 Chevy. After spending four years in the Truck series, he made his Xfinity Series debut in 1999 for Richard Childress Racing. Harvick’s Cup series debut came in 2001 as he replaced Dale Earnhardt Sr., who died in an accident during the 2001 season opener Daytona 500, in the No:3 RCR team. He remained with RCR till 2013 before moving to SHR.

Harvick won his first NASCAR title in the 2001 Xfinity series and won in 2006 as an owner-driver. He won his maiden and only Cup series in 2014, the year he joined SHR. The 2015 ESPY Best Driver Award winner is placed third in the all-time winners’ list in the NASCAR national series with 121*. Nicknamed happy Harvick, he has scored 60* Cup race wins, 47* Xfinity series wins,  and 13* Truck series wins. He is the all-time winner at Phoenix International Speedway.
