Copa America 2021: Brazil vs Venezuela Player Ratings; Neymar on target as The Selecao net 3 past Venezuela

Brazil, the hosts for the Copa America 2021 are off to a flying start after scoring three past Venezuela, without a reply. Marquinhos started off the scoring from a Neymar corner which put Venezuela on the back foot, not many minutes into the game. The away side did not look confident at any point in time to make things happen and soon after a Yohan Vumana foul on Danilo resulted in a penalty in favor of the Selecao. Neymar went on to score the penalty in style to get himself off the mark in the 2021 edition of Copa America.

Brazil made quite a few changes as Tite believed Venezuela’s chances of making a comeback were negligible. Brazil were in full control of the game and had a lot of chances to make it five or six in the second half. Richarlison wasted a bunch of opportunities but Gabriel Barbosa did find the net to make it three on the 88-minute mark to wrap up things for the night. Jose Peseiro, the Venezuela gaffer would be a disappointed man looking at his team’s performance but Tite, on the other hand, would be delighted with the way his team approached the game.
