The player has become an important cog in the system under Koeman. Since, the coach prefers to play a 4-2-3-1 formation, Coutinho played as a attacking midfielder along with support from Messi and Fati on either wings. Now, Koeman must look to play Messi in his position or change the formation back to 4-3-3. Moreover, the club are going through a torrid time after losing to Real Madrid in El Clasico and will need to bounce back against Juventus in the midweek.

The club said, “A test on Sunday morning has revealed that Philippe Coutinho has a left biceps femoris (hamstring) injury. Exactly how long that means he will be out of action depends on how the injury evolves. Coutinho started Saturday’s Clasico and played the full ninety minutes, and has appeared in a total of six competitive games thus far this season (five in La Liga and one in the Champions League), scoring one goal in each competition.”

Thus, Barcelona fans will be hoping that Coutinho can come back from his injury as soon as possible since he is crucial to the way Barcelona play.
