Tottenham Hotspur star Brennan Johnson is currently on an electric run of form since the last seven games. Be it for club or country, the Welsh footballer has been banging in goals in all competitions. To begin with, the 23-year-old was forced to deactivate his Instagram handle following fan abuse on his handle after a 1-0 loss to Arsenal about a month ago.

However, following the unfortunate incident, the forward has managed to turn things around for himself. The sudden change in form has taken social media by fire, with fans singing praise for him on all platforms.

His seven-goal streak comes through goals in the Premier League, Europa League as well as the Nations League. Johnson’s goals played a huge role as Tottenham Hotspur claimed victories over Ferencvaros and Manchester United a week ago.

Spurs are currently 9th in the Premier League while Wales are second to Turkey in Group 4 of League B.

Fans react to Brennan Johnson and his immaculate run of form

Scoring seven goals in seven straight games in no small achievement, for Brennan Johnson in particular. The talented Welsh forward is in the form of his life as he continues to keep scoring for both club and country. A fan commented on social media that Johnson is the best example of being able to focus after deleting social media.

Even though deactivating Instagram cannot be credited entirely for his form, a supporter joked that he’ll never get back on the app.

As fans noticed his jersey number and country of origin, it didn’t take long before comparisons to former Tottenham star Gareth Bale started pouring in. A few were disappointed that the player wasn’t receiving enough recognition and attention simply because he wasn’t ‘Erling Haaland‘ or ‘Kylian Mbappe‘.

Even though his goal scoring streak may be seen as a purple patch in his career, Johnson’s ability will only help him claim a greater role both domestically and internationally.

After scoring a total of five goals from 32 games last season in the PL, Johnson is already on three goals from seven games this season. He also has two goals in as many games in the Europa League.
