Having Roman Reigns and CM Punk, two maestros of their craft, as one’s mentors in pro wrestling seems like a utopian dream. But current Raw Superstar Bron Breakker has had that kind of distinction. He’s made quite an impact on the main roster ever since getting called up to the red brand in this year’s WWE Draft.

And he was recently asked about some of his mentors in WWE. Speaking on the Getting Over podcast, the 26-year-old named Roman Reigns, CM Punk, and Paul Heyman as the ones. Bron mentioned that the locker room has welcomed him with open arms. For all the queries he’s had, there’s always someone there to help him out. Breakker said that everyone’s rooting for one another to succeed in this business.

Someone like Paul Heyman has even had some on-screen interactions with the Steiner descendant. Back in October last year, the Wiseman gave a special walk-out introduction to The Unpredictable Bada*s prior to his match with Carmelo Hayes on NXT. Heyman did affirm that, on behalf of his then-Tribal Chief Roman Reigns, it was his honor to present the most talented performer on the entire NXT roster.

Roman Reigns has been really great. Paul Heyman. The locker room has really welcomed me with open arms. Any kind of questions or anything I've had. CM Punk is another one.

Some fans even dubbed Breakker as the next Paul Heyman guy. It appeared as if they’d join forces when the former Wolf Dogs member initially arrived on SmackDown. However, after having a series of squash matches week in and week out, Bron ended up on Raw post WrestleMania XL.

And since then, he’s been a headache for general manager Adam Pearce. The former NXT Champion came tantalizingly close to becoming the Intercontinental Champion at Money in the Bank earlier this month. But Sami Zayn thwarted a catastrophe.

Will Bron Breakker’s chase for gold end at SummerSlam?

Over the past few weeks, Bron Breakker‘s obsession with the IC title has seen him engrossed in a cat-and-mouse race with Sami Zayn. As mentioned above, the former Honorary Uce was able to shun the Georgia native at Money in the Bank.

But the following week on Raw, Breakker made his intentions clear: he’s not done. To add a little plot twist, this time around, he also has a certain Ilja Dragunov in his way. This Monday on Raw, The Mad Dragon competed for the Intercontinental title.

During the closing moments, Bron, out of nowhere, speared Ilja with venom. He then tried to emulate his exploits on Zayn, which he did as he speared him too to close out the show. A triple-threat match between these exponents looks imminent at this year’s SummerSlam.
