WWE’s 2025 journey has been nothing short of dramatic, especially when it comes to handling injuries to top stars. Fans will recall how Seth Rollins brilliantly outsmarted everyone at SummerSlam, faking a knee injury to cash in his Money in the Bank contract and reclaim the World Heavyweight Championship. However, ‘The Visionary’ wasn’t as fortunate the second time around.
At Crown Jewel, Rollins finally achieved redemption by defeating Cody Rhodes in singles competition to win the event’s namesake title. But the celebration was short-lived. During the match, Rollins reportedly injured his shoulder while attempting a daring diving coast-to-coast headcut on Rhodes. The injury proved serious enough that WWE was forced to strip him of the World Heavyweight Championship.
Rollins has since undergone shoulder surgery and is expected to be out of action for an extended period. In the storyline, the aftermath of his injury took a startling turn as Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed turned on him, being blamed for taking Rollins out of commission.
With Rollins sidelined, the company has announced that the vacant World Heavyweight Championship will be decided at the upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event. For the unversed, CM Punk had already defeated LA Knight and Jey Uso to become the No. 1 contender for Rollins’ title.
But with Rollins injured and stripped of the belt, WWE held a Battle Royal to determine Punk’s new opponent on last week’s Raw. In that match, Jey Uso emerged victorious, setting up a Uso vs. Punk showdown for the World Heavyweight Championship at SNME. However, fans were left puzzled when Breakker was not included in the Battle Royal that determined the No. 1 contender for the title at the November 1 event.
According to The Wrestling Observer, the company does plan to crown Breakker as World Heavyweight Champion sometime soon, but they are taking a measured approach to ensure his coronation happens on the biggest possible stage.

Breakker is expected to end up as champion, but they have a plan of how and when to execute it, and it happening on an SNME show which… pic.twitter.com/2wedOLr2Ey
The report explains that because the upcoming title match at SNME will air exclusively on Peacock as a streaming-only event, WWE decided not to award Breakker the title there, instead opting to save his big moment for a show with a larger audience.
As a result, WWE adjusted its plans on Raw this week. In the storyline reasoning, Adam Pearce removed Breakker and Reed from the Battle Royal for the No. 1 contender spot. The reasoning was simple. If Breakker wasn’t going to win the championship at SNME, it made little sense to have him enter the match and lose.
With the new title match now set for November 1, all eyes are on how WWE will manage the storyline going forward, balancing Uso’s rise, Punk’s redemption arc, and Breakker’s inevitable crowning as the company’s next top star.
Latest reports reveal Bron Breakker is still a big part of the WarGames match at Survivor Series
Apart from emerging as the driving force on Monday Night Raw, Bron Breakker continues to be heavily involved in his heated rivalry with Roman Reigns. For those unaware, the former NXT Champion played a pivotal role at Crown Jewel, assisting Bronson Reed in handing ‘The Tribal Chief’ a rare singles loss, a moment that sent shockwaves through the WWE Universe.

With Rollins now sidelined, fans have been curious about how the company will reshape its major storylines. As the Survivor Series Premium Live Event approaches on November 29th in San Diego, reports indicate that plans for a Men’s WarGames Match involving The Vision, Roman Reigns, and CM Punk are still moving forward.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the current direction points to a WarGames showdown featuring a team led by The Vision against a team captained by Punk and Reigns. While some fans speculated that WWE might pivot to a match featuring The Wyatt Sicks against the MFTs, the report notes that this idea is not currently in development.

Before Rollins’ injury, several names were floated as potential participants for the WarGames bout. Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, and LA Knight remain possibilities to join the Punk-Reigns alliance, especially after the fallout from recent events on Raw and the upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event, which could add even more drama to the storyline.
On the other side, names like Brock Lesnar have been discussed as possible teammates for Breakker and Reed. Lesnar’s long-standing history with Heyman makes his inclusion plausible, and pairing ‘The Beast Incarnate’ with Breakker would be a fascinating dynamic.
Meanwhile, reports also suggest that a returning Austin Theory could join The Vision in the WarGames match. WWE reportedly remains high on the 28-year-old star and still views him as a key part of the company’s future, another sign that the faction may be stronger than ever heading into Survivor Series.
