The GOAT debate in the NBA is never-ending with each individual having their own views on who is the GOAT of the NBA. However, Bronny James shares his controversial take on the GOAT debate which has been making the headlines recently. James Jr is in the limelight going into the 2024 NBA Draft, hoping to be snapped up by an NBA franchise.
Notably, in a viral X post making rounds on the internet, LeBron James‘ son Bronny James seemed to create a bit of chaos as he was asked to choose between his dad, Lebron James, the late Kobe Bryant, and Michael Jordan. Unsurprisingly, James Jr picked his dad, chose to bench Bryant, and would “cut M.J.” with a smile on his face.

Despite Bronny James making his choices known to the world, one can well and truly argue with his selection regarding the caliber of the players he had to select.
Interestingly, LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, and Michael Jordan are in a class of their own, each having illustrious careers with their respective franchises in the NBA. It remains to be seen whether Jordan or any other ex-NBA player or analyst reacts to Bronny James’ selection of the 3 superstars of the sport.
LeBron James makes bold GOAT declaration
LeBron James and Michael Jordan have been at the center of the NBA’s greatest-ever discussion. Year 21 sees James still playing in the league, adding generational statistics to the stat sheet. Though many in the league have also voiced their opinions, James and Jordan have both been outspoken about where they rank on the NBA’s GOAT ranking.
Interestingly, James recently discussed his GOAT declaration in a social media video. Following some outside playtime with his son, James turns to face the camera and says “I’m the GOAT. G.O.A.T.,” via Overtime. This was somewhat of a bold move by James, especially concerning the fact that his Lakers side has been poor recently.
On the contrary, James will be focused on ending his illustrious career on a high note with or without the Lakers in the NBA. With the trade market heating up, many teams will circle James to snap him up for their respective franchise. It remains to be seen whether or not James stays with the Lakers or chooses to part ways with them in the upcoming 2024-25 NBA season.
