Social media has become an effective tool for injured wrestlers to leverage and remain active. It allows them to stay connected with their fans worldwide. Similarly, one of WWE’s breakout stars of the year, “Big” Bronson Reed‘s post on X caused an uproar among netizens. At first, the 36-year-old wrote, “Y’all bumpin missionary?” without providing any context.

For obvious reasons, most of the fans took it otherwise. However, seeing them grow in numbers, Reed had to issue a follow-up post wherein he clarified that he was talking about Snoop Dogg‘s brand-new album, Missionary, that’s produced by Dr. Dre. That said, Bronson has no option but to find solace in any way he can at the moment. He’s out with an ankle injury. But how did that come about?

At this year’s Survivor Series, The Auszilla was a part of the new Bloodline. They were up against Roman Reigns‘ OG Bloodline and CM Punk in the men’s WarGames match. Pulling out all the stops, the Aussie grappler intended to deliver a tsunami onto Reigns, who was laid out cold atop a table, from the top of the cage.

While Bronson was mid-air in his maneuver, Punk pulled Roman from harm’s way. As a result, Reed had a crash landing. Even though no one could catch it on first instance, the 330-pounder had abruptly twisted his right ankle as he made contact with the ring canvas.

The following week, the former NXT North American Champion underwent surgery. Had it not been for his broken foot, he’d have completed his pending trilogy with Seth Rollins. A report from PWInsider claimed that WWE had plans for their third and decisive match at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Bronson Reed plans on topping his 2024 madness after returning from injury

Undoubtedly, 2024 was the year that established Bronson Reed as a brute force of nature in WWE. Around springtime, he won the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. But, despite clamoring for it, Reed was denied a WrestleMania XL spot.

He kept hustling for the months to come but couldn’t bring about a change until August when he decided to humble Seth Rollins. The rest is history. Recapping on such an impactful span of 365 days, Reed took to X.

He reminisced about breaking fans’ hearts, bones, cars, walls, and his peers. The Auszilla vowed to double down on that once he returns. WrestleVotes reported that he’s expected to miss WrestleMania 41, as WWE’s targeted comeback month for Bronson isn’t until May, if not June.
