Bronson Reed Daring to Pull off the Same Maneuver That Left Him Injured Last year

The Aussie heavyweight Bronson Reed isn't reluctant to risk it all over again by repeating the same move that injured him in late 2024.

“Injuries are temporary. Moments are forever,” is what a spirited Bronson Reed put out via his social media handles after injuring himself last year. Does that kind of an affirmation even remotely tell that he regretted his decision? No, because he didn’t. And he’s not afraid of leaping off a cage once again. ‘The Auszilla’ explained why he’d do it in a heartbeat if the opportunity presented itself.

Reed told The West Australian that he’s in that kind of business where such risks, though calculated, need to be taken. Speaking of his infamous jump from the top of that WarGames structure in November, the 37-year-old exclaimed that he wasn’t afraid to do it, and neither did he expect the end result.

He’s ready to go again, but with a lot more hope that he will nail it this time around because his right knee bore the brunt of that previous miscue.

I feel like we’re sort of in that business where we have to take those risks……..I was not scared jumping off the top of that cage. I didn’t expect what was going to happen. But in a heartbeat, I’d do again. I just think I could nail it again and not hurt myself, hopefully.

He was sidelined for six months after having smashed his talus bone. The exact issue couldn’t be diagnosed immediately as the former NXT North American Champion returned backstage on his own. Even though he knew he’d injured himself after that gnarly spot, Reed was oblivious to its severity. After getting the surgery done, his leg wasn’t allowed to bear weight for 2.5 months.

‘The Tribal Thief’ had to mobilize his right leg from scratch. In that moment, the South Australian was indeed concerned about ever regaining his pre-injury strength. However, he came out of it better than ever after putting in the hard yards. Reed made his way back to WWE television at Saturday Night’s Main Event in May and joined Seth Rollins‘ faction in the process.

Bronson Reed is ready to crank it up with Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel

This Saturday, Bronson Reed will take on Roman Reigns in their rematch from Clash in Paris. The two of them barely scratched the surface with the kind of chemistry they displayed in the French capital. It’s high time they put it in the next gear as far as their rivalry is concerned.

Reigns and Reed will have no restrictions as to what they’re planning to do to each other, with them contesting an Australian street fight, which basically means there are no rules. Previewing that bout, Reed revealed his intentions of using a cricket bat. Speaking to the West Australian, the Vision member quipped about hitting ‘The OTC’ for a six with that bat.

Maybe I’ll hit him for six with the old cricket bat. The Australian street fight – I think the difference is, we do it a little bit harder down here………. So Roman has to be ready to take it up that next notch compared to a normal street fight.

The 330-pound Aussie also emphasized that they do things a bit harder down there in Australia while addressing the stipulation of his Reigns showdown. This past Monday night on Raw, the ‘Auszilla’ got pummeled by the ‘Tribal Chief’ with a couple of Superman punches. Could that mean Reigns might succumb to an upset at Crown Jewel, considering how basic wrestling logic works most of the time?

Bronson Reed talks about being under the Paul Heyman learning tree

Adding to the litany of wrestlers Paul Heyman has managed over the years is Bronson Reed. ‘The Oracle’ has been acting as Reed’s mouthpiece for quite a while now. What does it mean to someone like Reed, who still has work to do to break into superstardom? ‘The Aussie Bulldozer’ told the West Australian that Heyman has a wealth of knowledge.

Hailing the 60-year-old as a true industry veteran, Reed believes ‘The Oracle’ has instilled a bunch of confidence in him, apart from the umpteen invaluable anecdotes that he’s shared from the diverse experiences he’s had by managing several men across decades.

If you look at the people that he’s managed over his career, they are all main eventers. They are all World Champions. So I take that very seriously. I want to make sure I live up to that hype as well.

Reed also feels compelled to live up to the billing of being a ‘Paul Heyman Guy’ because everyone he has taken under his wing has been a world champion and even main evented WrestleMania(s). However, Reed’s opponent at Crown Jewel and former associate of Mr. Heyman, Roman Reigns, has only bashed his erstwhile ‘Wiseman’ for how dumb he has become since betraying ‘The OTC’ at WrestleMania 41.
