Brooklyn Nets demolish Orlando Magic to extend their win streak to 8

Kyrie Irving

Brooklyn Nets were more than just dominant in their latest game against Orlando Magic. Lead by Kyrie Irving with 27 points and 9 assists and James Harden, who scored 20, Nets hammered down Magic at their home 129-92. Nets extended their longest win streak ever since they moved to Brooklyn, they moved from New Jersey in 2012.
The Nets have the longest current winning streak in the NBA and their longest since a franchise record-tying 14-game run late in the 2005-06 season. This run has come when Nets’ marquee player, Kevin Durant has been sitting out for 6 consecutive games due to strained left hamstring.

“We can’t start every game like how we’ve started the rest of the games during this kind of streak,” Kyrie Irving said as per ESPN. “So we’ve just got to turn the next page and we put a few possessions together and we ended the first quarter well and I feel like that put us in position to take control of the pace of the game.”
The Nets outscored the Magic 41-19 in the second, shooting 16 of 22. Irving, who missed all five 3-pointers in the first half, then made one before his steal and layup capped a 7-0 start out of the locker room that made it 72-47.
